Unitek has an immediate need for a Billing Clerk.
The Billing Clerk will be responsible for producing all customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner. The ideal candidate will have experience working with QuickBooks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepares invoices.
2. Reviews billing data from charge or sales slips and purchase orders to ensure amounts and account numbers are accurate.
3. Calculates billing charges and assigns billing numbers for tracking purposes.
4. Keep records of invoices and support documents.
5. Resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
6. Type billing documents, shipping labels, credit memorandums, and credit forms, using typewriters or computers.
7. Working knowledge of Purchase Orders.
8. Answer billing inquiries by phone, email or in-person.
9. Filing
10. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
At least 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Knowledge and understanding of billing concepts, policies, and processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge and understanding of computerized accounting systems, including a working knowledge of QuickBooks.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments.
• Ability to gather data and compile information.
• Excellent data entry and typing skills
